Upcoming Groups

Fall Groups Now Forming! Groups run for 12 weeks.

The Social Club

  • Ages 3-5 years
  • Ages 6-8 years
  • Focusing on social skills such as meeting and greeting others, joining in, sitting and paying attention, taking turns, waiting/attending, general anxiety and other tools to increase success in school and with family and friends.

The Cool Girls Club

  • Ages 9-11 years
  • Focusing on social skills, anxiety management, self esteem building and other tools to increase success in school and with family and friends.

The Cool Boys Club

  • · Ages 9-11 years
  • · Focusing on social skills, anxiety management, self esteem building and other tools to increase success in school and with family and friends.

The Middle School Boys Club or The Middle School Girls Club

  • Ages 12-14 years
  • Focusing on positive ways to work through girl/friendship issues, social skills, anxiety management, self esteem building and other tools to increase success in school and with family and friends.

 


 

Space is limited to 8 children in each group.  We are currently enrolling.  The groups will fill up fast, so please schedule an initial meeting to get started!

Michele is the director of Moving Forward, PLC and will be leading this group. In addition to private practice she is currently teaching as an adjunct professor at George Mason University in the School of Social Work.

Michele has significant experience in working with issues relating to anxiety, separation/divorce issues, trauma, depression, social skills, addictions, grief, anger management, compulsive behaviors (OCD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (including Asperger's Syndrome), and Tourette Syndrome.
